The 37th International Privacy Conference took place from 26 – 29 October 2015 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 

During the conference we discussed the Privacy Bridges project.Nineteen renowned privacy experts from the US and the EU have developed ten practical proposals to increase the transatlantic level of protection of personal data. Most proposals can be implemented within existing different legal systems and are applicable worldwide.

On the 29th of September PrivacyPerfect was represented by Evert de Pender on the nineth edition of the Entrepreneurs breakfast hosted bij the VNO-NCW metropool Amsterdam. The breakfast was led by Marry de Gaay Fortman, chairman of the VNO-NCW metropool Amsterdam. PrivacyPerfect was granted the opportunity to illustrate the attendees how our system enables organizations to get an insight in all the different data flows within the organization.

The IIR National Privacy Innovatie Award rewards the most original, innovative and promising Privacy Project in the Netherlands. IIR hereby highlights institutions and/or individuals who see Privacy Innovation as an opportunity to distinguish themselves. The jury consists of of privacy experts from various industries and sectors: Bass Filippini , Founder and President, Privacy First; Paul Korremans, Data Protection Officer, Vice President NGFG; John Borking, Of Counsel, CMS, member of Advisory Board of EuroPriSe GmbH.

PrivacyPerfect launches world’s first data-mapping tool for privacy compliance

Starting July 1st 2015, Evert de Pender (53) has taken the leadership position in PrivacyPerfect. This start-up is the world’s first to launch a user-friendly tool that helps organisations to gain insight in processing activities in which personal data is used throughout the organisation and supports organisations in achieving compliance with privacy and data protection legislation. Through a Management Buy-In, De Pender acquired his interest in PrivacyPerfect.

On Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th of April 2015, PrivacyPerfect took part in the ‘Innovation Room’ during the Global Conference on Cyberspace (GCCS2015). PrivacyPerfect was named as one of the 20 leading Dutch innovative initiatives for a free, open and safe internet. The Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Henk Kamp, mentioned PrivacyPerfect in his speech at the official opening of the ‘Innovation Room’ and qualified PrivacyPerfect to be an important innovation.
